Unemployment Issues

Local 774 Members,
Rest assured, that District 70 Representatives are working hard to help resolve issues that members are having when logging-in to www.getkansasbenefits.gov. Calling the Unemployment office is another issue that members are facing. If the line isn’t busy and you get through, your one of the lucky ones. It’s recommended that even though it may be a long wait, that you do wait. The unemployment department is overwhelmed by the number of people needing unemployment benefits throughout the State.
The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) Secretary, Delia Garcia’s office has reported to us that a software update to their website overnight should correct many of the online issues that members are facing when trying to log-in. You can view the latest KDOL updates with Secretary, Delia Garcia on Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/KansasDOL/
In the Textron Aviation handout, the “Furlough Time Reporting Process” says that employees on furlough will receive a packet in the mail from the Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) approximately 7 days following your last day worked.
The packet will include instructions and information pertaining to your unemployment claim.
