WICHITA, Kan., June 29, 2023 – Approximately 6,000 members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Local 839 (District 70) at Spirit AeroSystems voted today to ratify an improved four-year contract with the aerospace company. IAM members will return to work on Wednesday, July 5.
We need to help keep the strike line secured for Local Lodge 839 Machinist Union members who will be voting on a second proposed tentative agreement with Spirit AeroSystems on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. If you choose to volunteer, please be sure to sign in and out at the Strike Headquarters on the South West corner of S. Fidelity will host in-person 1:1 pre-retirement consultations in Wichita on Tuesday—Thursday, June 27-29. Additional sessions are also being scheduled for July, August, September, and October. Employees interested in attending one of the sessions can find additional information on ERIC.

The Stamp Out Hunger Donor Drive is a drive with a single mission—to feed the hungry in America, and as always, with your help, we will! Postal workers from the National Association of Letter Carriers will deliver a collection bag to your mailbox. All we have to do is fill it with food and set it back out by the mailbox for collection on Saturday, May 13th.
