You’re invited to a Textron Aviation evening at Botanica Wichita’s Illuminations on Thursday, Dec. 3 from 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Textron Aviation employees and guests are welcome to attend this free drive-through or walk-through event. The walk-through event will include a one-way path that guides employees throughout the grounds, including the newly finished Koch Carousel Gardens. Santa’s new home is located inside the carousel building and his chair is set up inside a retractable garage door so children can take pictures with him from outside the building. All walk-through employees and guests will have access to complimentary hot chocolate, and snacks will be available for purchase throughout the park. A limited number of walk-through tickets will be provided to your functional executive admin. Each ticket allows 4 individuals to enter, and each family of 4 must have a ticket to enter the park.A drive-through option is also available this year and is free for all Textron Aviation employees on Thursday, December 3. The 10-minute drive-through display has taken over Botanica’s main parking lot and features a lighted 240-foot tunnel, a snowflake wall, and a section of more than 40 lighted trees dancing to music. The drive-through option does not require a ticket, but each carload must include a Textron Aviation employee who can show their badge. Please note, the wait time for the drive-through line will vary and we appreciate your patience. Botanica Gardens has worked with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) to ensure a safe experience for all attendees while continuing a tradition that Wichitan’s look forward to every holiday season. The KDHE has advised that only a limited number of guests are allowed in the walk-through portion at designated time blocks throughout the evening. They are also requiring attendees to wear masks while in the park and to practice social distancing.
